Talavera Tile Collection Expands
Native Trails adds breathtaking Talavera House Numbers, Murals and Welcome Plaques
San Luis Obispo, CA - August 2005. Native Trails has expanded their collection of unusually intricate, Spanish influenced Talavera tile. Native Trails’ Talavera is made in the region around Puebla where the artisan traditions date back to the 16th century. Spanish ceramicists from Talavera de la Reina, Spain, introduced their methods to the native artisans in what is today known as Puebla, and the techniques have survived and evolved throughout the centuries.
All pieces are created entirely by hand, using a combination of local clays. They are fired twice and hand painted, resulting in a durable tile with breathtaking color and complex designs. The success of Native Trails’ original Talavera Collection of 4 and 6 inch tiles, available in 8 dynamic patterns, resulted in the recent additions. Native Trails’ newly expanded Talavera Collection includes House Numbers, Tile Murals, and Welcome Plaques.
The beautiful house numbers, in two patterns, are available by themselves or in a wrought iron frame. As for the murals, they stretch 16 inches by 20 inches and make a beautiful backsplash in any kitchen. The Welcome & Bienvenidos Plaques, in Zinnia and Peaches, are also available in a two different sizes.
The Native Trails Talavera Collection is available in tile showrooms nationwide. Native Trails is known for its high standards of quality and craftsmanship, superior customer service, and short lead times.
