Native Trails - ACS Relay for Life |
Native Trails expresses its dedication to community involvement through “Community Trails”, a program we created in which non-profit organizations in the areas of health and human services, education, arts, and the environment benefit from the generosity of our employees.
By providing a company dollar-for-dollar match of up to $500 per employee, we double the impact of our employees’ nonprofit donations.
We strongly encourage local volunteer work by offering each employee 2 days per year of paid volunteer time. We organize group volunteer days to help non-profits like Second Chance for Love and American Cancer Society with specific projects.
We periodically hold food, clothing and toy drives for local shelters, and we participate in weekend events as a team, such as Relay for Life, held annually by the American Cancer Society.
In addition, to further encourage volunteer work outside of work hours, when an employee donates 30 or more volunteer hours of personal time during a calendar year to an eligible nonprofit, Native Trails grants an additional $200 to that organization.
While the non-profits in San Luis Obispo County get much-needed volunteers and funds, Native Trails has realized that the program helps to build teamwork and a sense of community among its employees.
One of Native Trails’ continual goals is to make a positive impact in our community. This program helps to achieve that goal while supporting our employees’ values and areas of passion. Through Community Trails, it’s easy and fun for Native Trails’ employees to give back to their community!
